In a somewhat decent turn for the better, after Melissa Lewis was strangled to death, it turns out that her iPhone (coincidentally stolen by her killer) lead to the eventual arrest of the said criminal.
After the murder, the police found out that the iPhone was stolen and contacted AT&T, which then lead to a Wi-Fi chase through the state, with police trying to pinpoint his location via traced cellphone towers around Southern Florida.
In the end, the iPhone ended up being the biggest lead and break that the police had received for the case. Even though the tracking ability AT&T had led to his arrest, I still desire an iPhone-with-a-tazer.
